How to fix a broken blusher

Whenever I see my friend Lauren, she gives me loads of make up that she no longer uses, and for this (and many other reasons of course) I love her. She was going to throw away this almost unused MAC Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skin Finish, just cos it was a bit broken. The horror! Here is how I fixed it up right nice.

You will need:
  • Broken powder product
  • Rubbing alcohol (I got mine here it's called 'Haz' - all the lols)
  • Cotton buds
  • Wet wipes
  • Kitchen roll
  • Some newspaper to protect the surface

Step 1. Crush up the powder with a cotton bud until the chunks are roughly the same size.

Step 2. Pour on the rubbing alcohol a little at a a time (I poured some in the lid of the bottle to make it easier not to over-pour) and kind of swirl with a cotton bud until you get an almost solid consistency and it looks something like the above.

Step 3. Using a (clean!) finger, smooth over the surface so that it mushes together and looks like the above.

Step 4. Using kitchen roll, dab the surface to absorb some of the moisture. You might have to do this a few times, until it comes up pretty much clean.

Ta Da! Good as new :)

I hope you found this helpful!
