I wanted to share this quick and easy nail look for NYE. I like this because it can be done when you've finished getting ready and doesn't take loads of time or effort. You can even skip step one and try on bare nails, or over whatever colour you have on already. OR if your nails are slightly chipped you could also reverse the glitter and apply at the tops. Even though it's pretty self-explanatory here's a step by step guide:
Step 1: Paint nails with 2-3 coats of a light pink (I used Essie's Fiji).
Step 2: Use a chunky gold glitter (I used Rimmel Glitter Bomb in Bling Thing) to dab at the bottom of your nails, dragging it slightly down the sides. Make sure you don't use a finely milled glitter polish if you want the same effect as below.
Step 3: Grab a nail art pen (I used the Konad Nail Art Pen in Black Pearl which tbh I wouldn't recommend as it leaks like a mofo. The Model's Own one is far superior) and if you haven't got one, a biro/cocktail stick dipped in black nail polish or even a liquid eyeliner/sharpie does the job. Dot numbers on to each nail using a super light touch as it's easy to make the blobs bigger than you intended.Add a star for the thumb.
Step 4: Apply a glossy top coat once it's DEFINITELY dry or the numbers will run.
Step 5: Party. Or stay at home and eat.
Happy New Year!

Very cute! I love that gold glitter and how you placed it. My NYE nails are shimmery teal with TONS of tiny holographic glitter - I can't stop looking at my nails!
